Common questions
Is an ACA plan the same as Obamacare?
Yes. “Obamacare” is the common name for health plans sold under the Affordable Care Act through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Can I be denied for a pre-existing condition?
No. Marketplace plans cannot deny coverage or charge you more because of a pre-existing health condition.
What if I missed Open Enrollment?
You may still qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you had a qualifying life event such as losing other coverage, moving, getting married or having a child.
